I hate these kinds of articles because they discourage people who might have the ability but not the confidence. I was that person who did poorly in math in high school...because I went to a rural low-income that most certainly was not preparing people for university mathematics or programming. I was bad at it, I studied and got better over time, and now I'm a data scientist.

Articles with titles like this are fear-mongering and it makes me scared for the struggling sophomore trying to make it in tech and already massively doubting themselves. Seriously, I'm sorry but I can not get behind this "technical people share a specific set of features" rhetoric you are spewing.
